6/29/07: I've uploaded some more screen captures to the gallery. Those are going to be the main updates from now on. We now have a gallery for "R" and a gallery for "SuperS" which actually have some captures in them. I also added some more non-Ami-centric captures to the general "anime" gallery. There are so many cute shots between Usagi and Chibi-usa and also a lot of great "twin" shots of Minako and Usagi in SuperS I had to keep them and share.
6/8/07: Just opened a new section in the Gallery for the PGSM series extras; and posted up around 400 pictures of Sawai Miyuu and Hama Chisaki doing a sort of mini commentary on episodes 1-4, 5-8.Should have some pics from Act Zero up very soon, although Hama Chisaki is only in one scene, really, so there won't be very many.
The transfer of Ami's Journal is going fairly well. I've even been able to get some of Usagi and "Seres Victoria"'s comments transferred over. I still have a bit of catching up to do *L* as we're only just to the awakening of Jupiter, but hopefully we can get moving. It's been almost a year since I last updated; but I'm hoping that this update will make the site a lot easier for me to maintain. Thank you to everyone who has supported 'Shades of Blue' over the years. We're still going strong! There are a lot of changes with this update though, not just the layout and the web address.
- Shades has moved from index2.html to it's own subdomain: http://shades.ami-chan.net/; with my blog being on the front page of my domain now I've been feeling that this is probably the best way to help people be able to find the fan site (by giving it it's own subdomain).
- Ami's Journal is now on a Wordpress engine; which will make it easier to update and also easier on the eyes.
- Ask Ami is now part of Ami's Journal. It just seems to make sense that way!
- Caption Contest is gone, for right now. I meant to do things with it last re-design. I never did. So, I axed it. I may bring it back if I can get everything else going again; but before I do I'd like to be able to give people better prizes, so that is another reason it's on hold.
- The media section, or rather the galleries are now running through Coppermine. This means that all I have to do to keep them up is screen cap and upload rather than screen cap, thumbnail, and code each page. It also means that they're going to be a little easier to navigate (I hope) and that you can rate the pics and leave comments if you like!
- There's two new gallery sections I'm putting up right now: PGSM photobooks, and also some IRL pictures of Hama Chisaki and Kawabe Chieko, who played Ami in PGSM and Naru in PGSM/Ami in the Myu respectively.
- I've got some new hopefully better quality copies of Stars so I'm hoping to go through and get some new/better screen caps from Stars soon.
I've been meaning to do this update for a bit; but my life is really busy. I spend a lot of time with my son, who turned one a month ago, of course, and also I've been busy earning some extra income for us by blogging!
