Hama Chisaki, then 15, played Mizuno Ami in the live action Sailormoon television series known as Pretty Guardian Sailormoon. Hama, herself, is probably more like Usagi in personality than Ami-chan: she's energetic, bubbly and loves to eat (most of her journal entries on Toei's main site involve various kinds of foods that she's been able to try), but this just proves what a good actress she is, because despite these differences in personality, she portrays Ami very well, shy, quiet, self-depracating, conscientious.
Pretty Guardian is Chisaki-san's first acting 'gig'. She has a modeling contract with a Japanese magazine called 'Melon' and has also appeared in 'Up to Boy' and various magazines which detail sentai shows (i.e. preview, promote and advertise PGSM). She also recently released a CD containing the singles 'Koi Suru Soldier' and 'Kanojo wa Ijiwaru' and another CD, part of the Sailormoon character singles series which as the two Mercury image songs 'Mi Amor' and 'Yakusoku'. The single and character song CDs can be purchased through Amazon: Japan
At some time between the end of PGSM and the showing of the Special Act Chisaki-san apparently either chose to or had to change her name and was now being credited as Rika. The rumor is that it involves the fact she had to leave one agency and couldn't take her stage name with her. However in February of 2005 more information was released the Chisaki would be coming back to 'Melon' so perhaps the controversy is over for now...
